This stunning 20”x40” diptych painting features acrylic on canvas and three layers of ArtResin. The inspiration of this geode inspired piece was to capture the movement of water. Water is always flowing in one direction, and I wanted to show that in my work. I did this by drawing lines over each other in three different layers creating depth. I also painted the water in a way that makes it look really vibrant and incorporated gold leaf to capture and reflect light similarly to how sunlight bounces off the top of water.

The layered geode abstract design invites you to explore its intricate details. The deep blue shades are beautifully complemented by the gold accents and rocky textures. Giant quartz crystals from Mexico and smooth glass crystals are embedded for a tactile experience. This artwork makes a bold statement in any home. I want people to feel a connection to my work and have some kind of emotional response. The non-toxic epoxy resin gives it a glossy finish, protects it from moisture, and ensures its longevity.
